A powerful way to get rid of sweat smell on clothes even though they have been washed. For people who do a lot of outdoor activities, they often feel very sweaty. This is considered normal. But the condition that is quite disturbing is when the smell of sweat that sticks to the clothes does not completely disappear even though it has been washed.
Quoted from the Guardian page, a fashion lecturer at RMIT University Australia Georgia McCorkill said sweat marks or yellow stains on clothes are caused by a combination of salt in sweat and deodorant. Sweat is actually sterile, but when it mixes with bacteria on the skin, it creates a bad odor.
If you don’t want to find the condition of your clothes that still smells of sweat, you can try the following ways.
1. Wash immediately
After traveling from outside, it’s a good idea to wash your clothes immediately. Do not leave it too long, because the longer the sweat sticks to the clothes, the greater the growth of bacteria. This bacteria is what causes the bad smell.
2. Wear cotton underwear
It is better to wear cotton undershirts that can absorb sweat to help protect your shirt or main garment from sweat stains.
3. Clean the most sweaty areas
If you know which areas of your clothes sweat the most, you can pay more attention to washing those areas. For example armpits or neck. But still be careful, don’t rub too hard so that it can damage the fabric.

4. Remove sweat stains properly
According to experts at the University of Illinois, United States, sweat stains that usually appear in the armpit area can be removed with ingredients such as products made from enzymes, ammonia, vinegar, baking soda, and especially white clothes, you can use products made from hydrogen peroxide.
The method is to apply one of the ingredients to the yellow stain. Then soak with warm water. Repeat again if the yellow stain is still left. Remember, if the stain hasn’t gone away, don’t put the clothes in the dryer.
